I hope this will help other people who do not like to throw away good working devices because the manufacturer will not develop a new driver for it (this was almost my second scanner I have to throw away because of a new os). Canon lide 50 driver windows 7 64 bit. Download the software 4.1 version from the canon site. Reinstall Windows 7 Hp Laptop
Let's be clear about this, it was done to HP mini that basically is minimal to begin with so being able to install Win 10 is miracle IMHO.
The only upgrade to the basic HP mini was having 2Gb instead of 1Gb which pretty much was required. Yes, this mini came with Windows Starter version 32-bit.
The Win 10 upgrade was done in 8rs. because I had no idea when it would finish. It would hibernate/sleep and blank out, my re-awaking it to see the progress always was 'working on it'. After 4hrs. of seeing that, I finally gave-up and clicked the [X] to close the window. Upon reboot, it started the actual install with the %-circle display. Once that was done and completed after several reboots, it finally finished. The new Win 10 display was present all appears to be well. No issues in the device mgr. needing attention and so far no glitches. However, it still appears to be just as slow or as fast as it can be depending on your opinion. But, the mere fact it was able to have Win 10 is plus. I now have 30 days, minus 4(counting) to test it out, but will keep it to have a Win 10 capable PC around, even if puny one.
